how do i replace the back to back seals on a 84 90 hp v4 evinrude

i need to change the back to back seals on my 1984 90 hp v4 evinrude outboard the ones behind the prop i took the 3 bolts out now can anybody tell me if i just use a puller to pull the rest or is there a trick to it thanks

There are 4 bolts holding the carrier in. Which 3 bolts did you remove?

A dealer will have a special tool to remove and reinstall the seals without removing the carrier. Takes about 15 minutes.

my mistake i cleaned all the old oil and sludge out there was another bolt i want to take the carrier out so i can also replace the big o ring i finnaly found my repair manuale it says to heat the lower unuit while i use the puller
