how do i replace the impellor !!!

hi ,can anyone tell me how to fit a new impellor onto a chrysler 20, also ive just replaced the head gasket and need the correct torque settings and the sequence thanx ,,tommy,,

thats a good point jb ,i bought one , i bought the glenns marine series motor repair and tune up guide ,but i cant seem to find any where that mentions removing the impellor , maybe ill have to invest in a different one ,thanks anyway tommy

Did you look in chapter 6 of your manual. Getting the LU off and back on is 90% of the water pump impeller task. Put some vasoline on the inner surface of the pump before installing impeller. Be very careful with the shaft seal when removing it to change impeller. Better yet, it would be a good time to replace the seals you can get to. NAPA has them .Your torque specs are on page 163. This info is from the Glenn's Chrysler manual. IMHO , the Seloc manual is the best.

THANKS ,I FOUND THE PART IN CHAPTER 6 , IT COMES UNDER BOTTOM SECTION REPAIR, MY PROB WAS I DIDNT KNOW WHERE THE IMPELLOR WAS ACTUALLY FITTED , FOR SOME STRANGE REASON I WAS EXPECTING IT TO BE IN SOME KIND OF HOUSING HIGHER UP AND IN OPEN VIEW , THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE !, I HAVNT DONE ANY WORK ON A BOAT ENGINE BOARD BEFORE , SO ITS ALL BRAND NEW TO ME. BECAUSE OF HEALTH ISSUES IVE FOUND MYSELF WITH LOTS OF SPARE TIME TO RENEW MY INTERESTS IN BOATS, YES IM BASED IN LIVERPOOL ENGLAND ,ITS A NIGHTMARE TRYING TO GET HELP OR PARTS HERE ,, THIS SITE IS AMAZING , CHEERS GUYS !!
