just do a leakdown and figure out if it's rings or valves. If it's rings your motors in need of a rebuild. If it's valves, loosen up the rocker arms and see if compression comes back.

I may go back to it once the boat is running again. For now I am going to focus on getting the shortblock I bought ready to be installed.
