How do I test if my coil is bad

I have a 1971 Mercury 65 hp and was having multiple problems, have everything fixed, but just one last thing I have no spark. Does anyone know how to run a test on my coil ???? Please help I am leaving for canada in 2 1/2 weeks. If I have to I will pay to get it tested but I figured someone would help me out thanks DAN Also to get a few things straight I have cleaned terminals and have new spark plugs in, the plugs are getting wet so I am getting fuel, just no voltage to my plugs !!!!!

Check the freq asked questions, general engine checks. All you need is a multi meter. Good luck in Canada.
