How do i test the coils and stator on my 1996 johnson v6 200hp outboard motor?

I'm having trouble trying to find out what's wrong with my motor, it cranks over but no spark so i check the brown/blue wire that goes to the coils and it reads anywhere from 1-3 volts and i'v checked the ohms on it and all of my coils read anywhere from .255-.270 ohms and i have no idea how to check the stator, is their any other way to check the coils and stator? i'v also tried disconnecting the kill switch wire but didn't change anything.

You might try going to the CDI website, I think there is a procedure listed there to check out your system.

CDI Electronics is the place. You will need a DVA adapter like this:

BTW, CDI makes excellent outboard charging and ignition electronics, just as good as OEM and less costly.
