How do you foam a Poly Tank in?

I am considering a poly fuel tank for my 79 mako and im curious about foaming it in. How do you do this since the poly tank needs room for expansion?

put a spacer wider than the directions says around the tank. and foam lightly up to it.

OK so you make a barrior off the tank then put it a little further out then directions specify. Then foam builds up against it as it expands?

Do a google search on how to install built in fuel tanks and you will find the correct way to install the tank. It is not recommended that foam be used on any built in tank anymore especially the poly tanks because of the amount of expansion that the tank has. It is not even recommended to foam in aluminum tanks anymore.
