How do you get rid of stains-- what is the best?

I pulled out my canvas top to my party barge and and opeded it up to realize I must have stored it wet or it got wet because I now have several black stains on it. I have used carpet cleaner but it did not do very well. I afraid to use bleach or something like that because of the blue color of the top. What do I do now? Tim

Try starbrite mildew cleaner,it is the best and can be used on canvas. Charlie

How about home remedies? Got anything in the closet for this type of mildew stain? Still needing advice. Dont forget it is canvas so I have to avoid taking the color out of the material. Thanks Tim

try a vinegar scrub, but starbrite is good stuff, not too expensive either

My boat covers are canvas. I stored them wet.They mildewed badly. I used Greased Lightening and they look like new. As a matter of fact, I use G.L. on everything in my boat.

Most marine stores carry Starbrite mildew remover.I have even seen it at Walmart.Charlie
