How do you trim?

A badly designed hull is a fish jumping around. PERIOD
Other possibility is really bad placement of gear stored in the boat. Or the famous oversized motor or motors.

I was thinking wet foam. And to not have to trim up after on plane? Not sure starcraft would put something out there like that.
As far as I know the foam in the back is dry. There are exposed portions and no signs of wetness in such. The rest is under glass and wood (not easily checked without ripping a lot out). It was like that for many decades... So nothing new.

got any pics of it on plane fully trimmed down?
Nope. All pics I have are either at idle speed or taken while on the boat.

That said, here's a couple videos for earlier this year with the boat running on plane and trim all the way down. Last year I did try trimming down on plane and it didn't increase speed at all. Everybody I've talked to who used the boat previously said they never messed with the trim when running.

For the prop installed (composite 4 blade 18 pitch vs the original aluminum 3 blade 21 pitch) it performs roughly where one would expect. Currently it tops at 42mph at WOT, stock prop was doing 50-60 but with a weak hole shot and no torque (the prop swap was to be able to pull two skiers at once, from what I'm told).

When your out of the hole and on a plane, the engine will be less taxed. I noticed it when I'm out of the hole and adjust my trim upwards the engine is straining less. You can actually hear the engine mellowing out, when you trim up on the plane. It's a sweet spot.

Well, trimming up historically didn't do that for me. No change.
