I always find it satisfying just by playing a few pranks on these types of individuals. It kinda lets them know where they stand in the appreciation line and the good part is, they never know who it is so they think twice about messing with anyone else. This might not be your wifes MO, but it is for me. Maybe you could call me childish, but I'm just vindictive.

OOOh. That leads to some interesting possibilities. Like handing out toy cell phones to students and having them pretend to text message during the class discussion, or something of a similar nature. Demonstrate to her that she's an outsider to this classroom and she doesn't know enough about things to be able to step in.

Thanks for the ideas. wife read them and thanks you also. I believe for the sake of avoiding more problems that JB has it pretty well covered. The wife plans to be polite and positive and will start to enforse a new rule that does not permit ANYONE from entering her classroom while students are there without a very good reason. Her reason will be that "any classroom interuption that isnt inportant takes the students away from their "focus" and waste valuable instruction time." Pretty hard for anyone to argue this point. If the other teacher cant come in,she cant cause problems..Simple solution
