I've only owned this boat for a couple of months. My previous 15 HP motor didnt have a W/S.

This motor is a 2005 60HP 4-stroke. I dont know what is suppose to look "normal".

If the gas in the tank is that old, I would completely drain the tank it possible, and you might as well change the water separator. It's cheap enough to replace.

I thought about draining the tank somehow.

The previous owner bought this boat back in 06 with a full tank of gas. I bought it last month. It still has about half a tank of gas from the original tank of gas.....

But the motor runs beautifully. Pulls strong with no issues. So I think the gas might be ok. I know additives were added yearly.

Do you have any concerns about it other than the plastic is slightly yellowing? I think everything looks good.

Uif it had water in it then the water would sit at the bottom and would be clearly visible. I would recommend changing the filter simply due to debri. If the gas is 4 years old it probably has little to no ethanol in it but it's octane level may have significantly dropped I wouldn't necessarily drain all the gas I would add new gas on top and try an run her for the better part of the day and get the fuel running trough it.
