I never seen anyone skying behind a pontoon. If you are going to use it for this purpose i suggest you try that. Also take a few friends with you so you can see the difference with loads.

Actually, about 10 years ago, I skied behind a pontoon that had 7 other people on it. But I'm guessing it had a sizable engine on it. I don't remember. One guy said he skied behind a pontoon with an even smaller engine. But it's not critical. It's not my first desire necessarily. If it was I'd by a ski boat instead of a pontoon. If it stinks to ski, I'll go for dragging an inner tube or such.
