The saga so far;
I made a step in the boot opening with a router for more strength, sandwiched 1 slightly larger & 2 original hole sized pieces of 5/8 plywood. Measured the center of the overhang at the top, ('84 SX190), drew a line down through the center of drain hole for vertical X line. Made Merc template, cut opening, drilled holes. Was about to glue all in place today, stopped, and stared at drain hole. Did Glastron put it in the exact center?

Measured to hull strakes,

DANG! Off by 3/16"

My center point above the outdrive down to the drain hole is 23", so 3/16" is only a fraction of a degree, (I think, it'll be painful to try to remember trigonometry rules).

So, any thoughts on my next move?
Ignore it or redo the plywood?

Ignore it. The strakes may be off that 3/16" who knows? Not enough to worry about...
