How fast will an 85hp johnson...

Hi folks, I was just wondering if anyone has an idea of how fast an 85hp johnson will push a 17' Crestliner? the motor is in good shape with 119-121 compression in all 4 cylinders and runs great. I am in the process of replacing the transom and would like to know what should expect out of this motor before I put it back on the boat. thanks,<br /><br />Rich

depends on prop. probably around 35-38 with 17" pitch

As a reference, my 85hp Johnson will push a 17' deep-v at 41mph. 19" SS prop @ 5300 RPM.
