Re: how fast???

Probably 55-60 MAX with a stainless prop and in the best conditions. My 16' Glastron with 150hp will do 50mph GPS with an aluminum prop, probably around 55 when I get a stainless.

Re: how fast???

How does the Stainless Steel prop make the boat go faster? I have a Lund 16.5' w/75 Mercury 2 stroke (max is 90HP) and an aluminum prop and it does around 40 MPH. THanks any little bit helps.

youngboater,

An SS prop has less blade flex thus more energy can be transferred into propulsion.

The advantages can be minimal.

Re: how fast???

the higher strength also lets it have have thinner blades for less frictional resistance
