My trailer wiring is gone. I've seen replacement kits in many places, but my trailer has side as well as rear lights and how the hell do you pull new wires through enclosed members? Do you use the old ones to pull the new ones?

Exactly. Tape the end of the new wire to the old wire and pull through. I've done this a few times, it's a piece of cake. I've never had to do one from scratch so the tape and pull method has always worked for me.

You can use a "fish tape" available at almost any store that sells home improvement products, I'd bet even Wal-Mart sells them. They are used for pulling wires through walls and floors. Any piece of stiff wire that is long enough would also work. I also have used an air compressor to blow a piece of string through conduit then used the string to pull the wires through.

you might have a fishing rod or something stiff that will go through.

We use jet line (which is a nylon/light weight line) with a piece of light weight plastic tied to the end of it. Then we use a vacuum to suck it through the conduit. Antient electrician secret!
