How heavy is a 85 Hp Force?

I was thinking of changing to a 4 stroke and was wondering what sort of a weight penalty I would be looking at.

according to my force owners manual the 85 hp weighs 249 lbs

Add 25 pounds to that if it has tilt & trim.

this all sounds heavy to me ... when I pulled the engines off my boat i removed the gear leg and trim/tilt ... after which the engine was heavy but i could wrestle with and carry it a short distance. I would have guessed weight without gearcase & brackets around 100Lbs ... add 30 for transom clamps, kingpin, and trim .... add 50 for gear leg ... that's still well short of 250.

My '88 U.S Marine owner's manual also says 249# for the 85 HP without tilt & trim. I may have overestimated the extra weight for t & t. I guess you just don't know your own strength!
