The placement of foam can change frequently, so even if another model has foam in some areas yours may not, so it would be a good idea to check.

The layer of glass over the plywood deck has little to do with any added strength, its the sheet of plywood that adds the stiffness by tying all points of the hull together. It doesn't take much glass at the plywood to hull side joint for the these stresses and forces to be transmitted to and through the plywood to the entire hull.

Many people here have seen how when all supports are removed from a hull how flexible it can be, on many hulls even when completed you can push on unsupported areas of the hull sides and have them flex a great deal.
