How important is color for a boat cover?/Canadian purchases from iboats?

I am thinking about purchasing a boat cover from iboats for my 06 Lowe F&S and I was thinking "Black" was my best color due to the colors of the boat but then I got thinking "will it attract too much heat" will it wear out/fade quicker than say a lighter color?
Also what is the best cover to obtain, iboats gave me 3 choices, one was $275, another $308 and the last one was $368. Shipping to Canada for the expensive one was $125 for a grand total of $490.00, still cheaper than purchasing one from Lowe or having a custom built cover up here.
Any info of covers, Canadians who have ordered from iboats, fittment of these covers etc would be appreciated. Thanks........Irv964
These are my choices, which would you choose and why?

A lot of heat under a black cover, might be hard on the electronics.

Burgandy would pick up on the dark red accent stripe.

Acrylic (like Sunbrella) is not as abrasion resistant as polyester, so if you trailer a lot the Aqua Shield might be better. The most expensive cover has a lining to help the acrylic deal with abrasion, but this might not allow the cover to breathe leading to condensation and mildew.

Sorry, make my own covers but have not used any of these fabrics. Check it out.

You are going to need some support poles or bows to keep water from pooling/stretching the cover.

Some more info, and good luck.

Doubtful in Canada during the winter you're going to build up any kind of heat to damage electronics. Since moisture has a habit of forming under covers, heat would be a good thing.
Black will hide mildew.
Personally, color would not be the decision making criterion for me...fabric would.

I appreciate the replies, the cover will mainly be used while the boat is on a lift and not in use, it doesn't receive sun until mid afternoon and I would definitely make sure it was some how vented(no matter what color) It will also not be trailered but twice a year if that?
What is the best fabric to lean towards? I want the cover to last many many years as I plan on keeping the boat that long as well.............Irv964

I'm not sure what different materials are available. I've gotten my last three second hand. I prefer a heavy breathable cover. The one on my Searay has a receptacle for a pole and has a breather holes in this area.
You might check out Overtons, iBoats, WestMarine to see what's out there.
