I have my regular boat in a garage, motor fogged, carbs drained and completely covered with 2 tarps.

My project boat is upside down on boards sitting on the trailer in what I call the Turtle position.

Here in WI the Project Conquest is in my 45* heated garage next to our '02 Viggen Convertible (other summer toy) waiting for me to start tearing more into it. Of course it was a balmy high of 5ish degrees today, and we're also expecting some big snow tomorrow. :watermelon:

The "Blue Flamingo" has her "Mink Coat" (Blankets and Green Farm Tarp) on and the 40 Rude is in the process of being torn down to investigate why one cylinder is not firing.

In the driveway, on the trailer (on jack stands), under a tarp held tight with ratchet straps and bungee cords. The helm and deck are framed by a wooden ridge and rafters under the tarp to withstand snowload and facilitate runoff without pooling.

And the boat is festooned with Christmas lights presently.

Outside wrapped in a tarp. . . . got a 50 x 30 foot tarp last year and it seems to be holding up OK.

I wake it up a few times during the winter to charge the batteries and do various projects in preparation for the next season.

Perhaps a bit overkill... but i can still get my car past the stern, just squeezes through my redneck bi-fold-barn-type door at the back of the structure.

Comfortably under 18" of fresh snow for insulation as of last night.

Still undergoing restoration, outside, uncovered, bright and sunny, mid-upper 70's, soaking up the rays...:wave::bolt:

Please, notice the shadows, very lush green grass, palm trees in the background...
Sorry, couldn't help myself...
