I have not done it yet, but I may have to apply some 3M5300 or Gluv it stuff on my little 12' aluminum boat on the weekend...How long do I have to wait to put the boat back in the water?

I haven't bought the stuff yet.. :( I was just wondering because my little girl will want to go in the boat this weekend and she might not be able to... Just wanted a ball park idea...

I believe the instructions say that 5200 sets up in 24 hours, but takes 7 days to cure. It follows that you have to wait for full cure if you want to be absolutely sure. On the other hand, water aids the curing....

You can also get the quick curing stuff (red and white tube) -- goes on the same, and sounds like a better choice for your intended use.

Gluvit is probably an overnight cure, like most epoxy, but I haven't tried it. West System would be ready in about 24 hrs.
