Call their tech line and give them the climate information for where you are and they can tell you.

I was MORE than impressed with the Interlux tech line help I got when i did my boat. They were VERY knowledgeable and helpful.

Interlux Brightside paint is all it is claimed to be.

Flows well
Self levels
Covers well
Drys hard

2 or 3 coats, although not required, are better to cover any discolorations of the hull....such as dark spots.

Drying time varies according to climate....like any other paint drying time.
I would wait 2 full days before getting it wet.

I cannot compare it to Petit paints, as I have never used that brand.

Boat can be put in the water pretty quick but to fully cure will take about a week.

Re: How long for paint cure?

Brightside lists different "Dry to touch" times for different temperatures. The overcoat time remains fixed at 12 hours (if I remember correctly). Since it ends up being overnight anyway, it really didn't matter to me.

I had good luck with the roll and tip method to apply the paint. However, I sprayed the upper part of the hull, and the results are spectacular, compared to the roll and tip'ed area.
