How many amps would you think the alternator pumps out on a 1987 30hp 2 stroke?

Its a Mariner. Just curious Because I use one deep cycle battery and a 46lb electric troller and I want to have an idea what kind of charging power this engine provides. Worst case scenario I can pull start it easily but I will have to make sure the battery is fully charged at the end of each trip of course.

one hour of running the motor at full speed will give you about 7 mins of trolling

7 Amps from the stator, less any boat electrics running. It's very little current since one 50W light draws away 4+ Amps.

sounds like just basically enough to recharge it from starting it up. Would have been nice though if they could have something stronger but hey I won't complain. I think some of them older outboards didn't even have any charging ability

My mariner came with a tiller handle and no electric start. The output from the stator was "unused". I soon changed that, and adapted every light in the boat to LED. Whole boat draws less than 2 Amps, leaving me plenty to trickle charge.
