How many courtesy lights? 95 CC 21C Concept Cuddy

We have a 1995 Chris Craft 21C Concept Cuddy.

I'm trying to figure out why the courtesy circuit keeps blowing fuses. The input received in another thread is to remove all bulbs and replace them until the fuse blows -- the latest bulb returned to the socket is in the bad fixture. Since I could only find 2 fixtures and the circuit still blows, there must be more that I've not found.

Does anyone know how many light fixtures are on the courtesy circuit and where they are located? I found 1 each on both sides of the boat to illuminate the cup holder areas.

Thank you!

Does it blow with zero bulbs?

How large is the fuse you have in there? How many bulbs? You should be able to figure out how much current is being drawn from the number of bulbs. If each bulb was 5W(a very bright bulb), each bulb would draw 5/12 Amps. You would need 12 bulbs to draw 5A.

My guess is you have a short and it has nothing to do with the bulbs.

Thanks for the input.

The question is stemming from trying to find all light fixtures on this pre-owned boat we just purchased. The input on the other thread is to remove all bulbs and test the circuit. Their theory being the fuse should not blow if there are no bulbs in any of the fixtures... unless some wires are fried, of course. The boat is in great looking shape, just has wiring issues.

The fuse is 10amp and blows immediately when turning on the coutesy switch. I've only found 2 lights and must assume there are more lights and probably more items on this circuit. We've got no owners manual to review what else could be on the circuit so I am hoping someone on this forum will know the answer and share it with us.

The horn also does not work, so the problem might actually be in a connector

Thanks again!
