Last year I went to the lake and launched my boat off. As I came back down the ramp, there was a group of guys putting an older 18ft'er in. I got into my boat and was leavings when I turned around to see the funniest thing.. One guy was backing the boat into the water and one guy had the rope. And there was a guy sitting on a cooler while they all watched the boat sink into the waters bottom. The guy in the truck was already gone to park on top and was walking down to the ramp when he noticed his boat was sunk.. Now it took 7 guys to sink that boat. Plus they were scratching thier heads trying to figure out what happened.. I was out for 4 hours and came back in to find the same 7 guys trying to start the boat.. They couldn't figure out why it wouldn't start..I could hear this, go ask her, go ask her, no you.. One guy got brave enough to approach me and ask me if I knew anything about boats. I replied ya,, Alittle, like make sure you have both plugs in the boat and 2 don't try to start it if you got water in the gas tank.. That was a good start. Next question was "How do you get the water out motor?" WHAT!!! was the words that came out of me. Apparently they sucked water threw the carb and really did a number on the motor, the best part was that they all just bought it that morning. They were also trying to start it with no water going into the motor. I asked them if any of them ever had a boat before? NOPE, So I told them to get a manual on the boat and motor and make sure to send it to a shop to get it properly fixed ASAP. And my last words were I hope you have about $800 bucks on ya, becuase that is what it may cost you to get it fixed. I left the guys at the parking lot scratching their heads..
