I have somewhere between 110 to 125 hours this year. Taking her out today for the last time this year and then she goes away for the winter. :(

I've logged 640 running hrs on my current motor. 1st motor popped with 198 hrs on it in 2007. The boat is an 06' WA. So i'm about 200 a season. My other boat, a 98' CC gets about 30hrs a season.

The first 4 years I had my boat I average 100 hours a season. The second 4 years, I averaged 50. (Yep I got married and had a child!)

Re: how many hours do you average each season?

Our useful boating season for our boat use boils down to about 10 weeks in northern Minnesota where we do most of our boating. Add in kid's activities, business trips, stormy weeks of weather and all the other stuff that goes on and we put on about 25 engine hours this past season. The bigger the lake we go to, the more engine hours vs floating time gets racked up in any particular day. You really have to prioritize boating to rack up a lot of engine hours here. Now ask how many snowmobile engine hours we put on. Our useful snow season is almose exactly the same number of weeks.

We're lucky here to be able to boat all year 'round. However, the summers can be brutal, with searing heat and rough seas. So although I've put a little over 100 hours on her this winter, the next six months will probably see about half that.

All in all, about 150 hours motor time but lots of weekends anchored off the beaches mean about six weeks a year in the water for the boat itself.

about 100 on the one with a meter, my main boat.
My used boat did not have an hour meter so I added one; it's a good way to keep track for filters, plugs, etc. Impossible to estimate correctly
Hard to say with the others since they are used to get to an island, and around in the marsh. But one probably gets 200 a year; it has 7 owners.

We put close to 40 hours on the F150 this summer... I still plan on getting out this week and maybe next for some fishing before winter... Weather in Wisconsin has been unbelievably glorious this fall! Most of the time we get to our spot and just float, or I use the trolling motor fishing....

We have a cabin on the water and we used it all weekends we out there and I doubt we put 50 hours on it....says something about how short our summers are here in the North.

We are averaging around 125 hours on the hour meter a season. A whole lot more time with the engine off enjoying the water and the peace and quiet.

We put on about 150-200 hours. This was our first season with the pontoon. but we haven't slacked up going to the lake since we have a covered silp. We don't always drive around, mostly go out somewhere quiet, anchor, swim (or float in my motorcycle tube), have a few cocktails, grin a lot, give thanks for being able to have a beautiful boat, the health to enjoy it and wonder what the poor folks are doing.

Re: how many hours do you average each season?

I average between 75-100 motor hours a year. I just looked at the trip log on the GPS, this is the 3rd season with this boat, and I have logged a little over 2500NM on the boat.

Also spend almost every weekend from May until Oct on the boat. This year has been a little tougher, as my daughter is 16, and likes to be home on the weekends. Compromise has been running her back and forth between boat and friends, adds to 40 minutes round trips to the weekends!

Last year, the boat left the dock at least once ever weekend, even if it was only for a 15 minute cruise.

For us, we got our new boat the first week of August, and have 42 hours on it so far. Hopefully more next year. Oh yeah, probably 10 - 12 on the little boat motor during duck season too.

Re: how many hours do you average each season?

Not nearly enough...

However, its a fishing boat, so my 8-10 hour day on the boat only equals about maybe an hour of total time on the engine.

My trolling motor has more hours on it this year than my outboard.
