how many layers of fiberglass

i'm using epoxy and 1700 glass how many layers of glass would you put on a transom,floor and stringers

Forum rules recommend keeping all your posts in one thread so it makes it easier for everyone to follow along with your project. To answer your question, I'd recommend two layers of cloth on the transom and stringers and one on the top of the deck. the bottom of the deck should be fine with two coats of epoxy. Any particular reason you decided to use epoxy instead of poly??

Ok yes I went with epoxy I never did any glass work or boat work like this and I think I would just have a better chance at success. This is a pretty big job for me and I only want to do it once. A little update on the project well it was worst then I thought the only thing I left in the boat was one stringer. the wood in the cabin is also gone I just have to remove it. I'm very disappointed
