How many pole Alt is my 1984 65hp evinrude?<br /><br />I just need a quick answer, im going to try working on my boat in the mourning and im having tach problems.... problem is described in my thread <br />- another quick easy tach question -

12 poles, 6 pulses per revolution. Set the tach to 6. <br /><br />EDIT: I'm not 100% on that if it's rope start. I am if it's electric.
