Re: How many PSI ?

our compressor is set to 100 and i never have a problem. usually ill use an electrical cleaner thru the orifice first to check for blockages and to give it that squeeky clean touch. then i can just use indirect pressure. dont remember any late model yam carbs that have core plugs so you should be ok.

Most recommendations refer to the OSHA regulation that limits air pressure thru a nozzle or blow gun to 25 psi.

what seahorse says.
if OSHA shows up and tests your blow gun and its capeaple of more than 25 psi they write a warning. same as if the shields and tool rests are missing from the bench grinder :)but its not the carb parts that are pressure sensitive its your skin.and always wear them dumb looking safty goggles. no matter how funky or uncomfortable they are.
noting like a good blast of berryman or other debris in the old peepers. having done it a few times I can speak from experience. not much I can think of burns worse than a splash of carb dip in the peepers. will make your eyes water at a minimum.
