how may amps is my stator? rectifier replacement

TE150SLCEM 1989 evinrude xp tracker 150hp

hi guys i was wondering if there is an easy way to tell if i have a 35 amp stator or one of the ones with less amps . I believe it has been replaced
before I owned it but I'm not sure The reason im wondering is because the regulator rectifier is cutting in and out sometimes it will charge and the tach will work but only for a little bit. i was just wondering if i could get the non water cooled rectifier or if it is ok to use the smaller one that bolts to the side?

If the side coil windings are visible on your stator and there are two black coils at the rear portion of the stator, it is a 35 ampere stator which must use the water cooled voltage reguilator/rectifier assembly.

I wish you were closer don't trust most the guys around here can you recommend anyone here? near Pensacola a or Milton Florida ?
I've had bad luck with two guys I've used

No I have not tried wills marine yet have you
Had work done with them?



And about the stator I have not had a chance to
Check it out I'm in the military and this week has been
Wired with my work days . As soon as I get to
I'll look at it and upload some pictures
