how much air to check for leak in tube ?

My buddy put 30 psi in the tube to check for leaks . is this okay ?

I forgot to tell you that it is a heavy gauge aluminum tube .

NO!!!!! Many square inches of surface times 30 = BOOM. Like MH Hawker said 2-4 psi MAX. I seen a 40,000 gallon oil storage tank destroyed when some one tried to push out fuel with only 5 psi of com.
