I have the transom epoxyed in two 3/4 inch marine ply two coats of thin epoxy painted on first ..... a 7 oz layer of glass between the back of the boat and the first transom board .. then another 7 oz between the next board. I used milled filler aorund the edges and so far have one layer of 10 oz glass going 6 inches up the transom and 6 inches yo the sides and bottom. It really is hard to detrmine what the manufacture had used I am thinking another layer of 10 oz .. Thoughts ?? 150 hp

Epoxy would likely glue the transom to the hull without glass but nobody does it that way. One or two layers of 10oz cloth won't add much structural strengh but will add ding protection.
Alternating layers of 18-24oz woven roven and 1.5-3oz mat would be my choice for strength. For a 150hp and epoxy I'd do similar to what the orignal laminations were. Something like 3 mat and 2 woven rovens around the edges.

Bondo , really no place for a knee, I will put up a few pixs soon , Baja put a 2x4 on edge across the transom just above the lower engine mount bolts. Then a cubical on each side.. should be a pix on previous discussion. I Gotta believe that these cubicals (plywood filled with foam) really add the strength with function.

Oh Ya,..........

I Don't see Any Strength Issues There.........

I'd think a couple layers of 10oz. Should be Just Fine...............
