How much is it worth?? Help me settle a bet!!!

I picked up this 1978 Sleekcraft up a couple of weeks ago and think I got a steal on it...my wife doesn't think so. The condition of the gelcoat was horrible as u can see in the pictures. We spent two day removing all the trim, windshield ect...wet sanded with 400, 600, 800, buffed with 1200 then final glaze. We brought it back from the dead!!!! Looks great from what we started with. The lake we have a private cabin on in Illinois has a 115 outboard only limit...Naturally everyone is running 150's with 115 stickers, but I'm playing by the rules. So it only has a 115. The only thing I had to do to the motor was a water pump. The thing runs great!! I payed $2000 for the boat. What's it worth fellas????

put it on craigslist for $3,500.00 see how many calls you get in 24 hours and theres your answer,,IMO it's worth every bit of coin you dropped on it,,,

Thanks for the responses....!!! I'm gonna take it today to my wifes body shop where she has an overhead crane. going to lift it off the trailer and get all the barnacles off the bottom. It is filthy!! Oughta pick up a few more MPH's.

I think it is about right on price...depending on how well the Mercury OB runs. I had a 1500 (150hp) Powertrim that was a bear to get running right but I finally got it working good.

Not quite a "steal" but a very good deal at $2k for someone with your abilities and resources for sure!

A "steal" would have been picking it up at an estate auction with no other bidders for $100 or less, just sayin'...

Maybe more like $1500 for jsut the motor around here. So a decent looking hull, interior, and trailer for $500 is a good deal to me.

For my 1500 it was crazy to find parts for it because most of them had been discontinued. If that motor would sell for $1500 I would be surprised.
