I have a 1962 Johnson Seahorse on a 14' fibreglass v-hull boat. Seats 4 back to back, boat is push-pull type steering with all new cables.

Boat sits on a mint condition Mculluch(sP?) trailor with all new trailor wiring and cranking rope.

Boat was re-painted.

Now, the lower-unit on the motor needs to have EVERYTHING replaced (bearing, gaskets, etc..) but prop is good and motor runs fine.

What should i be asking for the lot? Everything is nice and clean. In canadian funds please!

I was thinking around the $600'ish mark?

You can ask $600 but don't be surprised if you get offers for less. You did not give the hp for the motor but a 42 year old motor with a bad lower unit would not be worth anything to me at least.

Re: How much is it worth?

In these parts 60's era packages aren't worth much maybe $800-1000 even when in good running order. I think you'd do better with your stuff by separating the pieces. Used trailers really seem to be in high demand. You could probably get $4-500 for the trailer alone if it's in good shape. Maybe another $2-300 for the boat alone (gd seats and steering).... motor & control box might be worth $50-100 to someone.

As a package, without running motor, I'd guess maybe $300, which I think is less than the value of the trailer alone.

Brent
