How much oil in my lower end unit?

How much oil does my lower end hold? I am changing the oil in the lower unit tonight and wanted to know how much I should buy. It usually comes in quart size bottles and larger doesn't it? Any brand favorites?

Ayuh,.... The MC-1s, 'n the Alpha 1s take abit over a quart, but less than 2 quarts....

So,... buy 2...

The standard opinion is to use the Best Merc oil, which is a Syn-oil...

I use Mobil 1, 75W-90, which is also a Syn-oil, without the pretty color dye in it...
