How much $ should I ask?

I have a 1968 Mercury 6hp (fwd & rev) that has new water pump and impeller, new fuel pump and fuel lines, and cleaned up nicely, new paint and chrome striping. Fresh gear lube and greased. Looks and runs like new and purrrrs. What's a fair price I should ask to sell it?

I just sold a 1969 7.5 hp Merc that had normal wear for its age for $400 CDN. I would have asked $475 if it looked in new condition. I wouldn't expect anymore than that. IMO

take a look at ebay outboard motors. it is a special market you will be selling to. i just bought a running 50hp for $150.

$50? Come on. That's a little insulting don't you think? Where are you going to get a good looking/working 6hp for that? I'll buy everyone you can get.

$50...HA! I spent more than that on new parts! I'm thinking I'll ask $300 and see if anyone will take it. If not, I'll go lower.

I say its worth $5 but if you sell it to me I will pay you quadruple its worth !!! LOL
