how much would u pay for this boat

. I'm thinking about selling this boat its a 87 baja sunsport with a 88 evinrude xp 150 boat floor is good interier looks good engine runs good floats need adjusted but workin on fixing that. Everything works gauges bilge pump,lights. Has new waterpump &housing vro pump, thermostats,carbs have been cleaned. Could use new prop and a nice shine. Is 3500 to high.

I have the bench seat not pictured.

If the hull, transom and floor are all in good shape and the engine runs well, 3500 would be reasonable. You may have to take a little less to get it gone though. Really hard to tell from just one small pic.

$2000-$3500.... just depends on how long you want to wait to sell it. That is assuming GOOD mechanical working order though. If the engine isn't right, take half off that price. (and with you mentioning it needs floats adjusted, in a buyers mind that probably means there are other mechanical issues...)

I just paid $3000 for a very nice condition 1984 Bayliner Capri 1900 with 125 Chrysler and 140 hours on the meter.

So I think you are in the right ballpark but it really depends on how much competition you have - it's a nice easy price point for many people but I'd certainly think about spending a Saturday morning doing some polishing

were you live is it a pond area or is there a bay- open ocean- inlet from the ocean. just wonder because
i know were i live since theres way more salt water than ponds around that boat would go really cheap because how hard it would be to us it in salt water because of the little freeboard

If I really need a boat and it wasn't a second or third, because of the decent sized engine and neat look to it, assuming no major issues...$2000. If it were all shined up and really looked sharp $2,500.

He's in Indianapolis by his profile.....probably running on Geist Reservoir....or any one of the hundreds of small lakes, several rivers, or other large Reservoirs in the area. Indiana ain't got no salt water!

That boat is a $2500-$3500 boat all day long in that area (w/ trailer right?)....I might even start at $4,000 this time of year.....people just got sticker shock at all the boat shows this winter......fix all of the mechanical stuff including the prop...clean it up and put a 4K tag on it. If you don't get any calls reduce it until you get some calls.

I bought my 1980 Coronado from Main Channel on Wawasee (northern Indiana) in July last year...much bigger boat...but 8 years older....for $7,995...came with a new cover, and a 2001 tandem trailer....I don't think $4000 is out of line if it's clean with a cover and trailer, and is water ready.

It looks like a nice looking boat. A good cleaning goes a long way. I would throw on a new prob, give it a good clean, make sure everything is working like it should then post it up for about $4500. That is assuming no rot and it runs well. I think it has some nice lines.

If you are comfortable selling it for $3,500 you can always list it for more giving them room for negotiating and you won't have to ask yourself, could I have sold it for more? You can always relist it for a lower price.

I certainly understand you asking the question to come up with some opinions re the value, but ultimately it doesn't matter what "we" would pay for the boat - all that matters is what your potential buyer will offer and what you will accept. Good luck.

Thanks for all your replys but ya before I put it up for sale I'm going to have floats adjusted and shine ur up and put on a new prop. I know its a plus when u see a boat for sale that says water ready. I see lots of diff prices from everybody after I finish everything ill deside on asking price but not 2500 ill keep it if that's all I can get. I've put a lot of time into this boat.

Ya no salt water around here I usually take it 2 lake monroe in bloomington in. Reason I want to sell it is I found a 89 ebbtide 20ft with a 350 thru hull exhaust excellent shape really wanting it more.

You'll have much better luck selling if it's water ready. That means engine running perfect, starts up easy and runs great on the water. If any of that stuff is untrue, price drops drastically.

I would look at that ebbtide real close if it is the one I am thinking of it has the kingcobra.
The market for boats is still real slow around here.
I have a real nice water ready searay with a 233 merc that has been listed for two or three weeks and not one call at 2000 so you may want to hold onto it for a month or so.

She should sale once ya get her running good.. I don't think $3500 is too much for a good boat with a good rude outboard hanging off her butt..
Take her too the lake with the for sale sign stuck on her... Be surprised you might sell it to a boaters friend easy.. First time I took one of my buds out.. Heard these words.. "I gotta get me one of these"

Yup thats the boat. I should take a look at that boat your right 2600 seems to low for that boat i was going by excellent shape had written on add.

I don't have the vast knowledge some on here do but would be happy to look at it for you( the one you are looking at buying).
I hate to see anyone get screwed over.
That kingcobra is a dinosaur and some parts are hard or impossible find new.

I think im going to hang onto my boat i do appricate the offer though might hang on to it for a couple more yrs.
