How old is my johnson

I have just acquired a johnson seahorse 5.5 hp, model cd 12, serial # 1257639 and was wanting to know if anybody could tell me the year model.

I have a CD-12 and it was made in 1955. My other Johnson was made in 1967 if my wife is reading the serial number correctly!8)
