Re: How old is too old to let your kid run around naked....outside?
There is Public and there is Private. There are laws on what is Public Decency and also what is Socially Acceptable. What goes on in your own house or property is nobody's business but your own, unless it's criminal.
Do I think it's socially acceptable for humans (of any age) to be running around on the public streets naked? No. Simple as that. Adults with common sense should know what is socially acceptable and what is not. Unfortunately there are a lot out there who have no idea on social manners and public behaviour.
Like an earlier poster I am from the UK. We don't run the streets naked, but on the beaches of Spain, France, etc, UK females are happy to sunbathe topless and if they don;t have a problem, I don't have a problem. The US is very different and much more conservative and religion led, so you don't see that here. But if you want to go buff in the privacy of your backyard, then go for it. I can't see it, so don't get offended or whatever. Do it in the front yard and that's another matter.
We were born naked, the human body is generally a beautiful thing, so get over it. That said, I have a nudist colony nearby to me and some of the residents are my customers, so I have to go in to see them. My Chamber of Commerce has Business After Hours events there too and we all have a great night (they know when we having it, so most, not all, residents stay indoors. The funniest time was the first time I went in. It was early morning and there was this little old lady, I would say wrong side of 80. She was on her way to the store in side the colony. She was wearing a Little Bo Peep sunhat bonnet, flip flops and clutching her hand bag under her arm. That was all! Not the best thing to witness at 8.00am!! LOL
