Re: How old of a boat is too old?

Depending on your boating season, an older boat may be pickeled for 6 months of the year. If you find a seller that takes great care of his stuff, that boat you saw was 20 years may seem in unusually good condition.

I have an 87 Sea Ray that, other than my own dock rashes, is in extremely good condition. My boat is pickeled for those 6 months stored indoors.

While we are reviving dead threads... I have a '67.

I have owned new boats in the past, I just prefer the lines of older boats. Guess I'm getting old. :)
