How reliable is it?

For a few months now I have been bending your ears about my 1989 Force 50. I have replaced Thermostat, water pump, rebuilt the carb,rebuilt the fuel pump, new plugs, installed a tell tale,<br />new plugs, decarb, new lower end seals and oil.<br />The engine seems to have been a very well maintained engine and I think I have made every effort to prepair for the upcoming season, is there anything that I have forgotten? <br /><br />Second question....is this historicaly a reliable engine. Just looking for some piece of mind!

treat it well, and it should be a good motor. run a good oil in it ( tcw3 oil). and watch for water in lower unit.<br />javsam

Thanks, javsam......tcw3? Foot oil, or fuel mix oil, I have never heard of it? Thanks in advance, Stuart

the oil that you mix the gas with. tcw 3 is the newest rating for outboard oil.and be sure and use stabil in your gas so you dont have fuel issues.<br />javsam
