I have one spot in my floor that is not solid. It is where I think a seat used to be Not sure. Does every boat have a Cap? I know stupid Newbie question. It looks like under neath that it just does not have enough bracing. But I am new to all of this so I could be wrong.

Then it looks some of the wood is pretty rotten but the floor is not soft in these areas. Are these what people refer to as stringers. And am I going to have to replace these before I put the boat on the water? Also these pics are taken from the the ski storage compartment

Yup

Not all boats have "caps" but it looks like yours does.

Here are the pics of the outside. Do I have to take the rubber on the outside off is that what is hiding the fact that it is two separate pieces?

Pull out the rope and you will find the fasteners that are holding the rub rail on. Remove them b rail. Below the rub rail you will find the fasteners that are holding the cap on. Could be screws or pop (blind) rivets or even bolts.

The transom cap has pop rivets and screws in it. You'll probably find both of them holding the cap on.

That looks like a big plate of hurl right there.

That's the problem with glassed in decks, one little penetration can kill it.

Your boat has an extreme case of wood cancer and you must perform surgery on it. Even if the rotten parts don't feel soft right now, they will soon. It's not going to get any better, only worse... and I know you hate to hear it, but this is only the tip of the iceberg. When you pull your cap and start tearing out the rot you can see you will find more, probably much more.
