How thick should the batterij power kabel be ?

I guess the old adage of "if in doubt go big" is well suited to this type of application. One could always measure the voltage at the starter while cranking and see how much drop is occurring in the cable. What would be an acceptable voltage at the starter?

Will the boat float with that motor on it? Looks like a 50 would be plenty. Good luck

Thats a interesting question :i sure hope so ,it should ,the boat is rated 85 h.p and a 85 h.p weights about 254 pounds and this 150 h.p weights 331 pounds

<br />this litle dingy is rated 15 h.p i went out with a 45 h.p 4 cyl <br />when i'm alone in the dingy (11ft) i easely do over 50 mph .no worry's the transom is reinforced ,OEPS wrong forum ,just easy on the throtle ,when youre not alone .http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e351/talitje/11 ft 45 hp/deathwish.jpg
