How to access oil filter on merc 3.0 i/o on pontoon

New owner of used Sun Tracker Pontoon with merc 3.0 i/o. Any suggestions on how to access oil filter on merc. 3.0 inboard on pontoon boat? I can't reach it my leaning into the tight engine compartment. Filter is mounted on side of engine.
