Obviously, it's time to replace my bunks before I gouge a hole in the glass and end up in the resto threads:

EEEK! I really didn't realize it was that bad!
After a little poking around on iBoats, I have a plan to 'safely'
eek
pull the trailer out. But when I do, I can see I need to rethink the bunk setup. Check these images. Of the only two bunks, they just don't align very well:

The budget is tight so I'll just be purchasing some treated 2x4's, or maybe 2x6's and some I/O carpet and stainless steel staples, but I'd like to hear any ideas to improve the current set up. The bolts that hold on the existing bunks are rusty, so I may end up grinding those off. When I do, I can move the bunks in closer so it's a better fit.
The pics talk for themselves I think, so I'm open to any and all ideas, links, drawings, tea leaf readings.... whatever.

Thanks!
