Re: How to call the police

tx1961whaler,

Maybe it takes lying I don?t know the circumstances for all the incidents. If you look it up you will see this was not the first time this happened in daylight. The big difference with Joe was:
1-Not his property (next door neighbors house).
2-Shot them in the back.
3-Shot them in the street.
4-He actually called the cops and told them he was going to do it.

Had it been in his backyard, we might not have even heard about it. The homicide rate in the Houston area is scary sometimes.
I?m not saying I would do it either. I?m just saying it happens and will continue to happen in the daylight. And most of all I?m telling you he is my neighbor and I know what the "law" told him. My version is not one I heard on the grapevine, I heard it from the source. Go ahead and believe what you want, it?s a free country after all.

With that said, this thread was just intended to share a joke. It was not really supposed to be serious or condone killing people. I?m done with this one.
Have a great day.

We have the a very simular law here in Florida. It's referred to as the Castle Doctrine. Your allowed to protect your "Castle" with deadly force.

The Florida "Castle Doctrine" law basically does three things:

One: It establishes, in law, the presumption that a criminal who forcibly enters or intrudes into your home or occupied vehicle is there to cause death or great bodily harm, therefore a person may use any manner of force, including deadly force, against that person.

Two: It removes the "duty to retreat" if you are attacked in any place you have a right to be. You no longer have to turn your back on a criminal and try to run when attacked. Instead, you may stand your ground and fight back, meeting force with force, including deadly force, if you reasonably believe it is necessary to prevent death or great bodily harm to yourself or others. [This is an American right repeatedly recognized in Supreme Court gun cases.]

Three: It provides that persons using force authorized by law shall not be prosecuted for using such force.

It also prohibits criminals and their families from suing victims for injuring or killing the criminals who have attacked them.

In short, it gives rights back to law-abiding people and forces judges and prosecutors who are prone to coddling criminals to instead focus on protecting victims.
