How To Change Belts

how did you put the new belts on did u jack the engine or remove the pulley? i just lost my v belt yesterday on the water. its home now just trying to find out the easiest was to go about this and change both belts

Guessing its a 3.0 and he dosent know about the removable spacer at the alt

Ayuh,.... If, it's a 3.0l/ I-6, the port side piece of the motor mount is removed, leavin' the motor hangin' on the starboard side of the mount,.....

Change the belt, put it back together, no jack needed,....

That's it. Sometimes a guy will think ahead and store 1 already routed in some fashion, so when it happens again it takes fewer wrenches.
Those crank pullies rust BAD. Ought think about cleaning it up & painting it.

Im adding a spare belt for sure im just having a hard time removing the second belt so i can replace them both, ive seen people have jacked up the motor or removed the pulley, just wondering the best way to to go about this

I wire tied a spare to the back of the motor mount just Incase I shredded a belt on the water also I'd pull the pulley and take the belt off that way. It's only 4 bolts!
