how did you put the new belts on did u jack the engine or remove the pulley? i just lost my v belt yesterday on the water. its home now just trying to find out the easiest was to go about this and change both belts
That's it. Sometimes a guy will think ahead and store 1 already routed in some fashion, so when it happens again it takes fewer wrenches.
Those crank pullies rust BAD. Ought think about cleaning it up & painting it.
Im adding a spare belt for sure im just having a hard time removing the second belt so i can replace them both, ive seen people have jacked up the motor or removed the pulley, just wondering the best way to to go about this
I wire tied a spare to the back of the motor mount just Incase I shredded a belt on the water also I'd pull the pulley and take the belt off that way. It's only 4 bolts!
