How do you remove the orange wire pin from the 2-pin plug that connects the coils to the power pac? I could just cut the wire, but the new coil I received has the pin already soldered to the wire. I'd like to just remove the old coil's pin from the plug and insert the new one, but I can't seem to find the secret to releasing the pin from the plug housing.

there is a special little "gizmo" but it can be easily done by just pushing it out, and pushing the new one back in, done it heaps of times, just be carefull with the new one, that you don't accidently cut the wire when you push it back into the rubber plug.

I spray the plug with a bit of WD-40 to aid the old wire coming out and the new one going in. I use tip side of a pair of well-used needlenose pliers - edges are nicely rounded - and seat it right under the base of the metal pin to push it into place. The rounded edges help prevent the plier tip from cutting the wire. Whatever you do, don't grab the pin from the tip to pull it through - they crush easily!

Thanks, fellas. My biggest problem was getting the old pin out since I wanted to be able to reuse the coil if it wasn't the culprit. So, I used your suggestion with WD-40 and pushed the pin out with a large drift pin. There must be a rubber shoulder in there that is holding the pin. I was just afraid to get too horsey with it before I checked with those in the know.
