or am I doing it even now ?
Wanted to know if a thread for absolutely free stuff would be allowed. I.E I am scrapping a boat, anyone want to get parts before it goes to scrap. It just seems a lot would go to waste and if the forum could use it why not. I am Not talking about a whole department ( although that would be good ) I am talking about a case by case basis ( with mod approval ) for 1 post at a time and for a limited time.

Thank you so much for the quick reply and please understand that I just was thinking that a free part for someone is better than let it go to a landfill ( perfectly good windshield for instance ) It could be done on a 1 on 1 basis and if someone actually tries to get $ GONE ! Better yet a free post with the understanding, if its in Maine and I am in Florida, you are going on a road trip, no buying, no selling, no trades and all of the transaction HAS TO BE POSTED. IE, DOUBLE G just got a free windshield from tin man, robert chris craft just got a free compass from stingray with a complete posting and thank you. Another example, redneck Joe needs an aux motor for his Starcraft and I have one in the garage I have not used in 13 years, pick it up, post what you are doing with it and thank me. How about " community members parts," I do not need this anymore, do you ? " I guess that is what I was trying to say all along. I do not need this anymore, do you ?
You could make it your own with rules. It just seems a shame to let go of perfectly good parts to a landfill.
Another note, you could make it rule to specify WHY you need the free part ( restoring an old whatever comes to mind ).
So, no selling, no shipping, no sales, just boating people coming together ( they would have to meet each other for part ) and the part would have to be posted.
Please consider my request as I believe it could help many.
Or, do a vote on the forum with this listing.
