I've got a 2007 Karavan single axle trailer, a 2008 Alumacraft Navigator 165CS boat, and a 2009 Suzuki DF90A. I bought it all brand new in 2009 and have to replace the tires constantly. My cabin is a 500 mile roundtrip, so definitely a haul. However, you can see the positive camber in my wheels. They wear exclusively on the outside edge. I usually then have the tires flipped on the rims until the other side wears out and then buy a new set.
I haven't weighed the setup, but by my calculations it weighs about 1,800lbs. The GVWR on the trailer is 2,690 and the Max Load Carrying capacity on the sticker is 2,200lbs. My theory is that they gave me a trailer meant for a heavier boat, therefore the camber doesn't flatten out because there is not enough weight on the trailer.
I thought about removing the smallest leaf from the suspension, but think that might introduce too many other problems such as bottoming out on bumps, etc. I read about cold bending the axle as an option. There is a specialty alignment shop nearby that says that he can do it, but I wanted to see if others have gone this route.
